Mamemaki and Setsubun in Kyoto

A big part of Setsubun festivities at shrines all over Japan is mamemaki ("bean throwing" in English). People throw fuku mame (fortune beans) to drive away evil spirits and bring good luck in the new year. They shout "Demons out! Luck in!" as they throw the beans, but since this is a demon throwing the beans, I have no idea what he would say. I don't think he'd want to cast himself out...
