Rare Opportunity to Photograph a Tayu
Although this woman might look a bit like a geisha, she is actually a tayu, and there are only a handful left in Kyoto today. I have just been offered a very rare chance to photograph a tayu in 2012, either in March or April. I don't have all the details yet, but I know it is going to be quite expensive. As a result, I'm thinking of asking another photographer or two to join me at the shoot so we can split the cost and make it a bit more reasonable.
I'm most likely going to ask people I know personally, but I thought I'd post this in case there are some serious shooters out there who might be interested. I don't often get the chance to work with other photographers, and I would enjoy expanding my circle of photographer friends and colleagues. This seems like a great chance to do that. So, if you are interested, please contact me!
